The time has come for change
The audit profession is losing its popularity. Less and less students in the Netherlands are choosing to start their career in audit.
According to research from DUO (a Dutch governmental organization which is responsible for, amongst other things, the payment of student grants and information management) the amount of university students who choose to start in the audit profession decreased with 18% between 2014 and 2018 and is still decreasing.
